My first cherry pie

This is what I've been doing all day today. : ) My lattice came out pretty sucky, but hopefully it still tastes good. : )


  1. It looks great! Getting that perfect golden brown is the real trick -- and that's perfect! Did you do the crust from scratch?

  2. Yep. I made the crust from scratch. Transferring the lattice from the freezer to the pie was disastrous though. It broke. Next time, I'm going to assemble it directly on the pie. My cookbook didn't recommend that for beginners though.
