Are those daisies? So cool! I love spikey plants, too. Joe worked all day on getting the neighbor's fence down and pulling out her prickly bushes. I wish I had more to show for today! You guys are putting me to shame!
No, they're not daisies, they're some flower I've never heard of before -- it begins with a c. They're yellow and very pretty. The pinkish, purplish one toward the front is a cone flower. I also bought salvia and some other one called red fox or something like that. : ) I'm hoping for them all to take off so they just go wild and it looks like a wildflower patch.
I love salvia. My grandmother and mother used to plant those. We used to pull the center of the flowers out and suck out the nectar. I don't have a good place for them in my yard, unfortunately.
