Sometimes I catch this kid looking off into the distance, and I can't help but want to see what's going on inside that head in that moment. Did I tell you that she can read those early chapter books in less than two hours... I mean, in one sitting. She's just so amazing.

I forget sometimes just how much I love sitting quietly with a book, especially on such a beautiful afternoon like today.
Anna's a fantastic reader, but she lacks the motivation to really buckle down to get to the point where it's a really enjoyable pastime. She gets closer every week, and I can't wait for the day we can curl up on the couch together and read with a little music in the background.
