It's not a full renovation because we can't bear to part with the subway tile (or the money to replace them), but Joe put a lot of work into make the upstairs bathroom more workable. He put that door back in (had a set of kitchen cabinets shoved into it), installed new lights and a new medicine cabinet. The biggest change is the vanity.
You can see part of it here. I should have gotten a better picture of the whole bathroom, but we've already cluttered the counter and everything else. It's just so nice to have space to put things! I HATE pedestal sinks.
It's gorgeous, Heather! I love the subway tiles and the honeycomb tiles on the floor--you're so lucky that they are in such good shape! Pedestal sinks sure look nice, but they're maybe only useful in a powder room. Now that we have a big vanity in Albany (with drawers!), I don't know how I lived so long without it.
ReplyDeleteOur downstairs bathroom has a pedestal, but we kept it for that very reason. It's also really old and really cool. It's a smaller bathroom and doesn't need something big in there.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so fantastic! I too love the subway tiles. They're charming.
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys!
