Walking tour

We took a walking tour of Mt. Hope Cemetery today. It was a lot of fun. Two different people stopped Joe at the end and told him he should be proud of how well behaved our girls are. :)

Rock Candy

The girls and I decided to do a couple experiments today. This one is rock candy. It's also the exact same color as our dish soap sitting right next to it. Love the color.

Art

I hate to do it, but with the sheer amount of artwork around the house, we have to throw out piles of it every week. They're just such prolific little artists. Prolific and not always so worried about staying in the lines:

Room for friends

We've been trying to figure out a new way for the girls to have a spot in their living room to draw and play with their little pink kitchen without needing both their little table and the coffee table. Ikea had a solution. Not a perfect one, but one that didn't bankrupt us. Aren't these baby pink stools adorable?

Ellora

I think this was about when they got sick of me taking photos of the two of them. I love this kid. She's our best woman's daughter and we don't see her nearly often enough.

Fat lip

Parker Pants was horsing around with her sister at Aunt Edie's house, bumped her lip on her sister's head and got herself a fat lip. Happy President's Day, PJ!

Talent Show

Anna and I worked on some fun projects tonight -- one for the 100th day of school and one to practice for her talent show at the Y. Her talent? Cake decorating. :)

Burning off some steam

I had a meeting near day care at the end of the day, so I took Parker back to the office with me. It was fun for a little bit, but it was NOT a kid environment, so we went and found a place she could run like the crazy little person she is.

Valentine's crafting

We dyed a bunch of coffee filters we're going to use to make a Valentine's Day decoration (suggested by Elizabeth). They're hanging to dry right now. If they weren't tied to one of my cupboards, I'd leave them up like this -- so cute!

Sensory play

Anna loves sticking her hands in dirt, soap, water -- anything, really. I found a really old bag of rice in the cupboard and decided to give her a less messy way to stick her hands in something.

Organization

I'm going to try to be more organized this year. At home. (Gotta start somewhere!) But first, Friendly's for dinner, since I haven't gone for a full grocery run in weeks.

Dinner with Grandpa

It's not often that any of my family comes to my house, so it was really nice that Grandpa came for dinner tonight -- and that he brought dinner with him! But since it was so unusual, Anna was acting like a crazy person. I present this photo as evidence. ;)
