Jack turns 6 today, so the girls and I made him a birthday hat. When I was double-checking his papers to make sure it was 6 (and not 7), I realized it's also been a year since his previous owner gave him up. Now that I know more of
her story, I see how even more tragic that was and how it must have hurt her to give him up on his birthday. I hope she knows how happy he is and that Shadow's
last few months were spent being loved beyond her wildest dreams.
